Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra disappoints in battery test

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is the latest flagship smartphone from Samsung. Released at the end of February, it has now passed battery tests conducted by the experts at DxOMark. But the results are not the best.

Although it has a large 5000 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has an average autonomy for its price range and at the expense of battery efficiency. The new 45W charger “does a good job”, but the improvement is “disappointing”.

Compared to the previous 25W model, the new one gains only 5 minutes on a full charge. DxOMark considers the autonomy score (60 points) to be low for this Exynos version of the S22 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra ranked 49th in the DxOMark battery ranking

The 60 points achieved place the Galaxy S22 in a very modest 49th place in the DxOMark battery ranking. Comparatively, the rival iPhone 13 Pro Max scored 89 points (3rd place in this ranking).
