Samsung will have tested the fast charging standard at 65 W, the South Korean technology will have decided to apply the standard charge at 45 W during the development of the next galaxy s22. Although it is not the fastest standard on the market, a title that currently belongs to Xiaomi (120 W), it will certainly be faster than the current 25 W standard in the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
We thus have higher charging speeds in the new smartphones, although to take advantage of these improvements it is necessary to purchase, separately, the new 45 W fast charger from Samsung itself. By the way, the latest leak shows us the possible price of this component.
Samsung 45W Type-C charger can cost up to €49
Therefore, to take advantage of the new charging speeds supported by the Galaxy S22, Samsung will also release the Samsung 45W US Type-C Power Adapter/Charger with the model number (EP-T4510).
If this launch becomes effective, at least one of the three new smartphones will necessarily have to support the new fast charging standard, most likely the top model, the Galaxy S22 Ultra. On the other hand, this benefit may be present in the three smartphones that will be presented this quarter.
It should also be noted that, in line with Samsung’s current practice, the smartphone box will only include a USB Type-C cable, with no further accessories. In other words, the user, if they so wish, must subsequently acquire this new accessory.
At least one of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 will support charging at 45W
According to information released by the LetsGoDigital publication, the charger will cost approximately $50. Therefore, it is likely to cost at least €49 also in Portugal if it really exists and is launched on the market.
Please note that this amount, $50, will not be converted to euros (about €42), but must have a direct correspondence in our currency, possibly with adjustments based on our tax burden.
Also according to the source, the new product will have as its main selling point a “30% more compact body than the predecessor”, as well as “protection against overloads and high temperatures”. The information will have been taken from the Dutch branch of the Samsung website.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 should be presented on February 8, 2022
We have the presentation of the new smartphones until next February 8, a date that has already been confirmed by Samsung, as we informed you. However, we count on the arrival of new leaks of information on the Internet.
We also remind the reader that we will have at least three new Android smartphones similar to the current generation. Therefore, we are looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S22, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ (Plus), as well as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
