Samsung Galaxy S22 should arrive with new protection

The concern for the durability and resistance of smartphones is increasing for manufacturers. The high bar set by industry influencers such as the JerryRigEverything channel contributed greatly to this.

Entirely covered in glass, the screens are the biggest concern, especially when we talk about high-end smartphones that are around €1,000. Corning launched Gorilla Glass Victus in 2020 and it’s time to take the next step.

This protection can be found in many of the top of the range on the market. And its successor, the Gorilla Glass Victus+, should arrive in February for the first Galaxy S22 smartphones.

Galaxy S22 with Gorilla Glass Victus+

This idea is advanced by leaker Ice Universe, a regular trusted source on Samsung matters. This source claims that the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra will all arrive with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

This protection will be present both in the front and in the back of the next Samsung flagships. It is good to remember that the Galaxy S21 and S21+ had a plastic back, but this year the South Korean manufacturer may return to glass in the rear construction of these models.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will take more care than the base models. Even reinforced glass is expected, which will have as its main objective to reduce glare and reflections.

In any case, we will not have to wait long to find out about the Galaxy S22. According to the latest leaks, Samsung is preparing the presentation for February 8.
