The confirmation was made by Samsung Germany. Through its website, in fact, the global distribution of the operating system is announced. Android 12, from Google, for the range of smartphones Samsung Galaxy S21. It will come in the form of One user interface 4.
It should be noted, however, that this distribution includes the trial version – Beta version – of One UI 4. This same initiative now announced by the German branch of the South Korean manufacturer was also previously announced in China and South Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 range is the first to receive One UI in Europe
On the other hand, it is important to note that Samsung did not specify the distribution and opening date of the beta program in the announcement made through the official forum. There, the communication puts the emphasis on “Coming Soon”, keeping users expectant.
It should also be noted that Google itself has not yet released the definitive and stable version of its Android 12. Although this availability usually takes place in mid or late August, in 2021 North American technology was considerably delayed.
However, we already have the Beta versions of Android 12, available from Google and relatively stable. In this way, manufacturers can now adapt and make available their respective interfaces based on the next iteration of the Android system.
Android 12 still lacks the final and stable version from Google
These delays by Google will not prevent the distribution of the first trial versions of One UI 4. This will be the next major version of the interface used by Samsung on its smartphones, with the Galaxy S21 range chosen for testing.
Soon after, we have the availability of the Beta version of the One UI 4 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range. Then, also the smartphones of the Galaxy Z range – foldable devices – as well as the Galaxy S20 will be able to participate in the initiative.
Unfortunately, however, for the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S20 range, there is currently no confirmation of the intention to extend the beta program. This does not necessarily mean that such devices will not receive the stable version in the future, or even the trial version.
The novelty will be present in Samsung One UI 4.0
