Sambil highlights the Dominican Republic as a benchmark for the region to invest

When commemorating the tenth anniversary of Sambil in the Dominican Republic, the owners of this shopping center highlighted the benefits of the country for investment and, at the same time, its excellent results obtained during these 10 years.

In this regard, Salomón Cohén, director of Sambil, stated that as a result of Sambil’s trajectory, various success stories can be mentioned and, most significantly, the presence of a significant number of businesses that have been in that shopping center from the beginning.

“Sambil has been consolidated, becoming the most important entertainment and service commercial destination in the country,” he said. While Alfredo Cohén, member of the board of directors of Sambil, maintained that this shopping center generates between 3,500 to 4,000 direct jobs, apart from the indirect ones.

He stressed that Sambil has 15 different attractions for the whole family, which is why they are so visited by people. “That is what makes us so attractive and sought after, since the public is not only looking for a place to shop, but a center of entertainment, services and fun,” he explained. While Alexis Hernández, general manager of the plaza, stressed that Sambil Santo Domingo is the second largest of the 12 shopping centers that this group has throughout the region and that this speaks volumes for the good results in the Dominican Republic.

“There were people who bet on the Dominican Republic because they already knew Sambil, but they did not know the market and there were also people who bet on Sambil, because they are traditional local merchants for the country,” he considered. Acknowledgments On the occasion, awards were given to the merchants who believed in Sambil from day one, who have been its allies and who, thanks to teamwork, have grown together.
