Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, and she has recently added “producer” to her resume. While she’s enjoying this new role, she’s also making a big change. The actress has decided to work less, choosing her projects more carefully to ease her workload. She says she will now only sign on for work that she truly loves.
Choosing Projects with Heart
In a recent conversation with Grazia India, Samantha explained her new approach. She wants to focus on quality work, which means only taking on good projects that help her manage her schedule. “I’ve reached a point where I do work I’m passionate about,” she said. “This includes both fitness and films.”
Samantha admitted that in the past, she was part of many movies and series that didn’t always excite her. That’s no longer the case. “Now, whatever work I do, whichever business I invest in, whichever film I produce, my heart is in all of it,” she shared.
Health Comes First
The actress is now putting her well-being above everything else. She said she is paying close attention to her physical and mental health. This new focus means she no longer juggles multiple projects at the same time. “I don’t shoot five films at once anymore,” she explained.
This change came from an important realization. “One thing I’ve understood is that I have to listen to my body, so I’ve reduced my work,” Samantha said. She feels that every ounce of energy she spends must be for something that matters. “No work is without reason. The number of projects may have decreased, but the work is better.”
Upcoming Roles
Samantha’s selective approach is already shaping her career. She recently made a brief appearance in ‘Shubham’, her first Telugu film as a producer. She also appeared in the series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, which was produced by Raj and DK.
Looking ahead, she will be seen in Raj and DK’s next series, ‘Rakta Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’. She joins a strong cast that includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamika Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The series is expected to be released in 2026.
