Mushataq Khan, a veteran actor and comedian who has worked with Salman Khan on several films, recently shared some heartwarming stories about his experiences with the superstar. In a chat with FilmMantra Media, Mushataq recalled how Salman’s father, Salim Khan, wanted his son to join theater to help him become more outgoing. “Salim Khan used to tell me, ‘You do theater. Find something for Salman too.’ He wanted Salman to perform on stage,” Mushataq said.
Mushataq’s first collaboration with Salman was on the film “Ek Ladka Ek Ladki.” He remembered Salman being very observant and eager to learn. “He would come to the set and watch me. He was very honest and always looking to learn,” Mushataq said.
A Star with a Heart
Salman is known for being down-to-earth, and Mushataq shared some delightful anecdotes about their time on set together. On the sets of “Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai,” Salman would often cook eggs for the crew and invite them to join him. “He would call Johnny Lever and me to his room and cook for us according to our taste,” Mushataq recalled. Salman would even address them as “sir,” showing his respect for his colleagues.
One incident that stood out to Mushataq was when Salman showed extraordinary kindness to a woman in need. “Someone came to the room and told Salman that a woman was standing outside asking for help. Salman immediately took out his wallet and gave her everything he had,” Mushataq said. He even asked Johnny and Mushataq to contribute what they could, though Mushataq had to admit he had no money at the time. Despite not having much, Salman gave away everything he had in that moment.
Mushataq’s stories paint a picture of Salman as a humble and generous person, both on and off the set. His willingness to learn, his kindness to others, and his down-to-earth nature have made him a beloved figure in the film industry.
