Salman Khan Lauds Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Nishaanchi’ Amid Brother Abhinav’s Allegations

Bollywood is buzzing, and it’s not just about a new film hitting screens. Superstar Salman Khan recently surprised many by giving a shout-out to director Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming movie, “Nishanchi.” This friendly gesture has raised eyebrows, given the rocky history between the two.

On Saturday, Khan shared a video on his Instagram story. He reacted to the film’s poster, giving it a big thumbs-up. Actress Sonakshi Sinha was also with him in the video, and she joined in the praise. His post simply wished “Nishanchi” all the best. He even tagged Anurag Kashyap, along with actors Aishwarya Thackeray and Vedika Pinto, who star in the film.

This warm greeting from Salman comes at an interesting time. Just days before, Anurag Kashyap’s brother, Abhinav Kashyap, made some serious accusations against Salman. Abhinav claimed that Salman hasn’t been truly interested in acting for 25 years. He suggested that Salman acts as if he’s doing everyone a favor by showing up for work. Abhinav stated that Salman focuses more on his celebrity status than on his actual craft. He even reportedly called Salman a “goon.”

Abhinav Kashyap didn’t stop there. He also alleged that Salman Khan is ill-mannered and holds grudges. According to Abhinav, Salman is seen as the one who started the “star system” in Bollywood. He said this is because Salman comes from a film family with a long, 50-year history in the industry. Abhinav believes Salman is just continuing this family tradition of power.

These recent comments from Abhinav bring to mind the long-standing tension between Salman and Anurag Kashyap themselves. Anurag once shared a story about their past. He was supposed to direct Salman Khan’s film “Tere Naam.” However, things went south when Anurag asked Salman to grow chest hair for the role.

Anurag explained that he was removed from the project right after making that request. He wrote the film’s script, but then he was told to step away from “Tere Naam.” It seems the chest hair was a deal-breaker for the star.

Despite all this history, “Nishanchi” is ready to shine. The film, directed by Anurag Kashyap, is set to hit theaters on September 19. The cast includes Aishwarya Thackeray and Vedika Pinto. You’ll also see talented actors like Monica Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra on screen.
