Salman Khan just threw gasoline on Bollywood’s never-ending nepotism fire. At a Mumbai hotel, reporters asked him about Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani’s Bollywood debut. But Salman mistook Raveena for Kangana Ranaut and asked, ‘Is Kangana’s daughter coming?’.
But when the journalists cleared the confusion, Salman said in surprise, ‘Now if
Kangana Ranaut ‘s daughter comes, will she do films or join politics? So will she also… I mean whether it is a son or a daughter, they will have to do something else.’
Salman’s Unfiltered Take: “Nobody Makes It Alone”
The Dabangg star didn’t stop there. “No one succeeds solo,” he said, shrugging off the self-made myth. “If my dad hadn’t moved to Mumbai, I’d be farming in Indore.” He credits his father, screenwriter Salim Khan, for paving his way. “Teamwork built me. Now people slap labels on it—‘nepotism.’ Call it what you want. I’m fine with it.”
Kangana vs. The Khan Dynasty
Kangana Ranaut, who famously called Karan Johar Bollywood’s “nepotism flag-bearer,” wasn’t named directly. But Salman’s jab was clear. The industry’s insider-outsider rift just got messier.
Meanwhile, Sikandar Awaits
Switching gears, Salman plugged his Eid release, Sikandar and requested everyone to go to the theatres and watch. The action flick, co-starring Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Rashmika Mandanna, Satyaraj, Sunil Shetty, Prateik Babbar and Anjani Dhawan among many others, has already sold millions of advance tickets.
