Sales of 1.5 million chickens begin at RD$150 per unit

In a program coordinated by the Dominican Poultry Association (ADA), the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Institute for Price Stabilization (Inespre), will begin, starting this Monday, December 12, popular sales of 1.5 million production chickens national, at RD$150 per unit, weighing more than 3.5 pounds and an investment of more than RD$400 million.

The day will cover the 32 provinces of the country and will last until January 6, 2023; while, the local processing plants will make the distribution in refrigerated units, in the points established by the Government, to reach the most remote places of the country.

The ADA guaranteed the consumption of chickens for the Christmas and New Year festivities, indicating that the raising of white meat was in full production on the various farms. Production

Poultry farmers increased production by 20% last year, reaching an average of 21 million chickens this December. The organization also predicts a good production of chickens for all of 2023, which predicts that the Government does not have to import this product from the basic basket.
