Saira Banu wrote on Instagram, “Fifty-nine years ago, the night of our Nikaah was one of the most unforgettable evenings of my life.” She described how the song “Do Sitaaron Ka Zameen Par Hai Milan Aaj Ki Raat” (meaning “Two Stars Meet on Earth Tonight”) filled the air. This melody played throughout the night, making her heart swell with joy. She remembered feeling so happy she believed she could actually fly. “Everything felt absolutely dream-like,” she shared.

He simply said, “Call a Maulvi and perform the Nikaah!” Just like that, in the blink of an eye, the most important day of her life arrived, unexpectedly beautiful.
