The Marineros de Puerto Plata presented former player Carlos Morbán as their manager for the 2022 LNB National Basketball League season that begins on May 24.
The leader of the Puerto Plata team was talking with the sports press at a press conference held in the meeting room of the Puerto Plata basketball association.
Morbán expressed feeling very happy to return to the Puerto Plata team now in the role of manager.
The former player of the Puerto Plata franchise in national basketball said that "I feel very happy, I thank the management of the franchise and for returning to Puerto Plata where I feel at home".
He is a leader who has already trained as an assistant in basketball for the National District with the San Lázaro Club, whom he helped to reach the final series last year, as well as being an assistant for the Los Titanes del Distrito team in the LNB in Last season.
Javier Núñez, shareholder of the team, said that "we are very happy to have him back in Puerto Plata, with the acquisition of Morban we have a 75% in favor, we are not very proud to have a coach who played with our city and we know that he is going to take us to a safe port".
As reported by Morbán, the main players of the team who are fulfilling international commitments such as Marques Townes as well as MJ Rhett will be arriving in the country in the coming days to join the training sessions that will begin next week with the implementation of a mini-camp.
Morbán was introduced by the executives José Daniel Jiménez and Javier Núñez.
