Sabrina Ionescu sets record in WNBA 3-point contest

For Ionescu to become champion, she had to beat Sami Storm of the Seattle Storm and Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings., who had 24 and 11 points, respectively, in the final round. The rest of the contestants were DiJonai Carrington of the Connecticut Sun, Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever and Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces.

Previous records in the three-point contest

The previous NBA record was shared by Stephen Curry and Tyrese Haliburton. The one from the Golden State Warriors got 31 points in the 2021 All-Star weekend while the one from the Indiana Pacers got the same amount in 2023. In the WNBA, the mark belonged to Allie Quigley, who added 30 in the 2022 All-Star.
