Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter solidified their friendship with a girls’ night out in New York City. The pop superstar, 35, and the “Nonsense” singer, 26, were spotted dining together on Friday, November 7. They chose The Corner Store in SoHo for their celebratory dinner.
The outing coincided with the announcement of the 2026 Grammy Award nominations. Sabrina Carpenter received multiple significant nods for her work.
Carpenter earned nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Taylor Swift was not eligible for nominations in this cycle. Her album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ fell outside the eligibility period for the upcoming Grammy Awards.
Swift wore Gucci platform horsebit slingback shoes, which added noticeable height. She paired these with a Thom Browne RWB striped polo and a matching asymmetrical wool mini-skirt.
Carpenter opted for a camel trench coat, accessorized with a black bag and matching black heels. She stayed warm and chic in her ensemble.
The two musicians have frequently collaborated in recent years. Carpenter is featured on Swift’s recently released 12th studio album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’.
Carpenter also joined Swift on stage for several legs of the massive Eras Tour. Her appearances included shows in Australia and South America between March 2023 and December 2024.
In an August 2024 interview with Variety, Carpenter spoke about her close relationship with Swift. She expressed admiration for Swift’s work ethic and grace.
Carpenter stated, “Taylor is a rockstar! She’s really a boss with all this.” She added, “No matter what people say, everything I’ve seen her tackle, she’s done with grace.”
Addressing rumors about their friendship, Carpenter clarified their bond. She said, “She’s one of my best, best friends and we go out to dinner or text and catch up, like you would with your best friend.”
Carpenter values Swift’s guidance in the music industry. “It’s amazing to be able to get a perspective on this whole process from her,” she shared. This includes receiving advice on “things you can’t look up online.”
She concluded, “We always share our [songs], and every time I start thinking, ‘Maybe I should get on Twitter to say something about this,’ I always think: ‘I’d better write a song.'”
Swift has had a busy social week. In addition to her dinner with Carpenter, she was seen on several date nights around the city with fiancé Travis Kelce.
The Corner Store is a familiar spot for Swift. In October 2024, she was photographed there on a double date with Kelce, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively. The restaurant’s website notes a “smart elegant” dress code. It offers a menu of American dishes, including lobster rolls, caviar, filet mignon, steak frites, and daily oysters.
