Ruvalcaba, Gómez and Garza got places for the Pan American Games

The diving team of the Dominican Republic achieved a successful participation in the Pan American Diving Qualifier held in León, Guanajuato, Mexico last weekend.

The most outstanding diver was Jonathan Ruvalcaba, who managed to be crowned champion in the 3 meters and achieved another place in the 10-meter platform, he had already achieved a place in 1 meters in the World Cup in Budapest, Hungary. Thus, Ruvalcaba has three places for the Pan American Games in Chile, to be held at the end of the year.

Frandiel Gómez also got a place for Chile 2023 in 1 meter and it is used to compete in synchronized jumping on platform and springboard, together with Ruvalcaba.

Victoria Garza qualified for the platform for the Pan American Games in Chile in the 10 meter platform.

The rookie Piera Rufino achieved an excellent participation as it was her first participation in this type of event.

This event was organized by Panam Aquatics.

The Dominican Swimming Federation, and its president, Radhamés Tavárez, thanked the Ministry of Sports for supporting Fedona for athletes to participate in this qualifying event.
