This series also saw innings of one and a half centuries with the bat of Gaikwad. The record for most runs in an ODI series against Australia belongs to Rohit Sharma, who scored 491 runs in the 2013 ODI series. If we talk about test, then this record is in the name Hammond. He scored 905 runs in the Test series against Australia in 1928.

Gaikwad became the third Indian batsman in this case

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s excellent performance with the bat was on display in this T20 series. He has now become the third Indian player to score the most runs in a bilateral T20 series for India. Topping this list is Virat Kohli, who scored a total of 231 runs in the T20 series played against England. In second place is KL Rahul, he had scored 224 runs in the series against New Zealand. Gaikwad also crossed the 500-run mark in the T20 International, which took him 17 innings.
