Russia’s offensive continues: heavy bombardment of Kharkiv

Recent attacks by Russian forces in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, have reportedly killed several civilians and caused heavy financial losses.

Heavy shelling has been going on in Kharkiv since February. The governor of the region said Russian forces were still firing on civilians. He appealed to the citizens not to leave their homes and said that they should not ignore the sirens of air strikes.

According to a report by the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian troops are regaining control of areas near Kharkiv. It said Ukraine’s resistance would increase pressure on Russia and would “further advance towards the Russian border.”

Kharkiv is very close to the Russian border and the city is frequently attacked. It is a pity that the war is going on and we cannot live without fear. They say that the hospital where they used to work has been destroyed by shelling.
