Russian submarine commander Stanislav Rozhitsky, who was in charge of military operations in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, was shot dead by a gunman. He was killed while jogging on Monday morning. The country’s state news agency Tass reported this information about the Russian law enforcement agencies.
On the morning of Monday July 10, the 42-year-old commander went out for a run between 7 am and 8 am. At some point, an unidentified person fired four shots at him. A criminal case has been registered in this incident.
According to Al-Jazeera’s report, it is not yet known who is behind his murder. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not given an official response.
