The Indian Embassy issued a fresh advisory after Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine. The Indian Embassy said, “The current situation in Ukraine is extremely uncertain. Please don’t be disturbed and stay safe wherever you are, be it at home, hostel or any other place of residence or somewhere in transit.’ The embassy said that those traveling to Kiev, including those traveling from the western part of Kiev, are temporarily advised to return to their cities, preferably to safer places.

He said that further advisories would be issued as and when any information is received. At the same time, official sources in New Delhi said that the Ministry of External Affairs is holding high-level meetings on the Ukraine crisis, work on contingency plans is underway. Sources said that India is focusing on measures to help its citizens, especially students, from this Eastern European country.
