Russia has issued an arrest warrant for an International Criminal Court judge

Russia has issued an arrest warrant for the chief judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

British judge Karim Ahmed Khan has been added to the Interior Ministry’s wanted list, Russian media said on Friday, citing the ministry’s database.

It should be noted that a few days after ordering the arrest of Russian President Putin, Moscow opened the cases against Karim Ahmed Khan and three other ICC judges on March 20. The judge issued an arrest warrant for President Putin on war crimes charges in March.

The ICC warrant orders the arrest of Putin and the Russian Ombudsman for Children’s Rights, Maria Leva Belova, on charges of war crimes related to the abduction of Ukrainian children. Russia and Putin have denied any war crimes during the invasion of Ukraine, saying they were victims of Western aggression and lies.
