Moscow, (BLAZETRENDS).- A group of saboteurs from the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered the Russian region of Belgorod, bordering Ukraine, the governor, Viacheslav Gladkov, denounced today.
“A group of saboteurs from the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the territory of the Graivoron district. The Russian Armed Forces together with the Border Guard and the FSB (former KGB) take the necessary measures to liquidate the enemy. I will give details later,” the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Gladkov had reported that a woman and a man residing in the Glótovo village, also in the Graivoron district, were injured by a mine explosion and had to be hospitalized.
“The woman is in intensive care, she is serious. The man suffered medium-severity injuries, ”she specified.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed of the events in the Belgorod region.
“We fully understand that the goal of these sabotage actions is to divert attention from the Bakhmut front and minimize the political effect of the loss of Artiomovsk (Russian name for Bakhmut) by the Ukrainian side,” Peskov was quoted as saying by the official Russian agency TASS. .
Ukraine insisted today that it still controls a small sector of Bakhmuts in the southwestern part of the city.
