Rupali Ganguly, known for her role in the hit TV serial ‘Anupama,’ is urging Indians, especially celebrities and influencers, to boycott Turkey. The call comes after Turkey openly backed Pakistan amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Rupali’s Plea to Indians
Rupali took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to express her outrage. She posted, “Can we all please cancel our bookings to Turkey? I’m requesting all Indian celebrities, influencers, and travelers to do so. As Indians, we can at least do this much.” Rupali believes that showing solidarity against Turkey’s stance is essential.
Netizens Rally Behind Rupali
Rupali’s post has garnered significant support from netizens, with many agreeing with her sentiments. Some users took to the comments to express their frustration, not just with Turkey but also with certain Indian celebrities. One user commented, “We don’t consider Kapoor and Khan as stars anymore.” Another user wrote, “If someone still goes to Turkey after this, they’re a traitor.”
These reactions reflect a broader sentiment among some Indians who feel that certain countries’ political stances should influence their travel choices and consumer behavior.
