Ruf hits 2 home runs, Junis wins and Giants beat Dodgers

Darin Ruf homered twice and drove in four runs, Joc Pederson had two hits and drove in two and Jakob Junis won his third straight decision Friday in the San Francisco Giants’ 7-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Junis (4-1) spent five innings on the mound, scoring two runs and five hits, including a homer by Gavin Lux in the fifth, before leaving the diamond with a sore hamstring.

Lux’s home run got the Dodgers within 3-2 on the scoreboard, but San Francisco responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning that almost settled the game.

Dodgers starter Walker Buehler (6-3) lost for the second time in his career to the Giants. Before retiring from the game with a sore elbow, he allowed three runs and four hits in as many innings.

For the Giants, the Mexican Luis González 2-0. Venezuelans Wilmer Flores 3-0, with one score; Thairo Estrada 3-1.
