The Royals of La Vega have taken the lead (2-1) in the final series of the LNB Super League and will go to San Cristóbal on Friday to try to put the Titans of the National District in check.
“We must go prepared on Friday to steal that game,” said Víctor -el Chócalo- Martínez, about the fourth game of the final.
Martínez stressed that the intention of winning the next match is to end the series on Sunday and win the crown at home and in front of their fans.
The Royals took the lead in the series after beating the Titans 98-81 on Wednesday night, in the match that was played at the Palacio de los Deportes Fernando Teruel in La Vega.
Martínez, who was one of the important pieces in the victory, contributed 16 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds, after replacing Quade Green in the first quarter, who had to leave the match due to physical problems.
“They told me to focus so that you do the job and that’s how I was able to do it in this important game,” said Martínez.
The point guard, who hit four 3-pointers in seven attempts, added that he remained positive throughout that he could take on the responsibility entrusted to him by Royals manager Daniel Maffei.
