The third match of IPL 2022 is being played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In this match, RCB have given Punjab a target of 206 runs to win. New team captain Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli batted vigorously. Du Plessis played a brilliant 88-run inning. Rahul Chahar pitched brilliantly for Punjab in the second inning. Though he could only take one wicket.
Losing the toss and opting to bat first, RCB scored 205 runs from 20 overs for the loss of just two wickets. During this, Captain du Plessis batted relentlessly. He scored 88 runs on 57 balls. Du Plessis’s innings included 3 fours and 7 sixes. His starting partner, Anuj Rawat, was dismissed with a personal score of 21 runs.
In the end, Dinesh Karthik also hit brilliantly. He played a good partnership with Kohli. Karthik posted an unbeaten 32 while he was batting. He faced 14 balls and hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. While Kohli played an undefeated inning of 41 runs. He faced 29 balls and hit 2 fours and a six.
Rahul Chahar and Arshdeep Singh played well for Punjab Kings. Rahul took a wicket for 22 runs in 4 overs. While Arshdeep took a wicket for 31 runs in 4 overs. Odeon Smith turned out to be very expensive. He gave up 52 runs in 4 overs. Harpreet Brar gave up 38 runs in 3 overs. Livingstone also had an over, in which he gave up 14 runs.
