While the end of the “whatever the cost” policy was announced, the Minister of Culture assured that tailor-made support would be deployed.
Asked this morning on France Info, Roselyne Bachelot wanted to reassure the actors of the cultural world. If, according to her observations, the situation is different depending on the sector, she promises “tailor-made” care.
“We will be alongside the sectors in difficulty”, declared the minister on the air and recalling that “the general measures adapted to cultural structures which were completely closed”, specifying that the situation had now evolved. “There, we are in a period of recovery, in a system where we adapt.”

Attendance at cinemas impacted by the health pass
The Minister also recognized that the cinema was “the sector most affected” by the introduction of the health pass this summer. “There was, following the obligation of the sanitary pass, an average drop of about 30% in the attendance in the rooms”, explained Roselyne Bachelot, before adding that several films had been a big success, citing in particular the feature film by Alexandre Astier “Kaamelot” and its two million admissions, as well as the third part of “OSS 117” and its million admissions.
The minister also recalled that companies and employees in the cultural sector will have to comply with the health pass, made compulsory for employees in contact with the public, as of Monday, August 30. A measure that she described as “temporary” and “health” which, if it were not to be respected by employers, at the end of “a week of teaching”, would confront them with “sanctions”, noted the minister.
