Rosalía, Kendrick Lamar and Blur, highlights of Primavera Sound in Porto

Rosalía, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Pet shop Boys and Halsey are the highlights of the tenth edition of the Primavera Sound festival in the Portuguese city of Porto, which begins on Wednesday with four days of music ahead.

The event will be held in Porto’s Parque da Cidade, one of the largest urban green spaces in Portugal, and this year it will have an exceptional four-day festival -instead of the usual three- “to present a rich and diverse to which it is impossible to attach a single label,” according to the organization.

kendrick lamar will be the headliner of the opening day, in which Baby Keem, Alison Goldfrapp, Beatriz Pessoa and Georgia will also take the stage.

Rosalía, who was already at the Porto festival in 2019, will have her turn on Thursday to offer her show to Portuguese fans, who were already able to enjoy her Motomami tour this past November in Lisbon and Braga.

Also on the bill on Thursday are Bad Religion, Fred Again, Maggie Rogers, Mora and The Mars Volta.

Pet Shop Boys will have the main performance on Friday, when festival-goers will also be able to see Central Cee, Dark Side, My Morning Jacket, NxWorries and St.Vincent on stage.

The last headliner, for Saturday, will be Blur, which will close a day that will also include Halsey, New Order, Daphni, Drain Gang, Spraks and Yves Tumor, as well as the Spanish duo Israel Fernández and Diego del Morao.

The poster also initially included a concert by Bleachers, but the American band canceled the show due to incompatibilities calendar, as he is preparing his next album.
