Roma’s winning streak in Serie A continued with a 1-0 win over Fiorentina at the Olímpico de Roma.
Artem Dovbyk scored the only goal just before halftime, tapping in a header from Eldar Shomurodov’s cross.
The Ukrainian striker’s 12th league goal of the season was set up by a well-executed move involving Angeliño.
The first half was a closely contested affair, with Fiorentina creating some promising chances.
Ex-Benfica goalkeeper Mile Svilar made two crucial saves to deny Moise Kean, keeping the score level at halftime.
Roma’s goalkeeper was again the hero in the second half, making two stunning saves to preserve his team’s lead.
Svilar denied Rolando Mandragora in the 66th minute and then Moise Kean again in the 83rd minute.
The win has seen Roma rise to fourth in the table, level on points with their eternal rivals Lazio.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, remain in eighth place with 59 points, just outside the European qualification spots.
