Rohit Sharma’s ODI Captaincy: Three Contenders Emerge

Rohit Sharma’s cricket career is winding down. He’s already quit T20s and tests. Now, people think he’ll stop playing one-day internationals too. If that happens, India will need a new captain.

There are a few guys who could take over. Shubman Gill is one option. He’s already the test captain. Before they picked him, people thought Rishabh Pant might get the job. But Gill got it.

Now, Gill could also become the one-day captain. Pant is still a strong candidate, though. He’s the test vice-captain.

Another guy who could be captain is Shreyas Iyer. He’s been doing a great job leading his team in the Indian Premier League. The cricket board might think he’s ready for the national team.

Right now, India has different captains for each type of cricket. Rohit Sharma is in charge of the one-day team. Gill leads the test team. And Suryakumar Yadav is the T20 captain.

If Rohit quits one-day cricket, the board will have to decide who’s next. Gill, Pant, and Iyer are all in the running.
