Rohit Sharma made a mistake and could have completed England's innings within 200 innings

IND Vs ENG: Indian captain Rohit Sharma made a big mistake in the Ranchi Test. Former England cricketer Owais Shah believes so. Owais Shah says Rohit Sharma had a chance to close England’s first innings within 200 runs but the Indian captain missed the opportunity. On the first day of the Ranchi Test, England scored 302 runs after losing seven wickets. England’s star player Joe Root remained unbeaten with 106 runs on the first day.

England won the toss in Ranchi and decided to bat first. But Ben Stokes’ team had lost five wickets at 112 by lunch. England then added 190 runs to the scoreboard until losing the next two wickets. Owais Shah said: “England has now strengthened its influence.” This day could have been in the name of India. India got a great opportunity. For 112 runs, only 5 wickets had fallen. But Joe Root and Ben Fox made England’s comeback.”

India had a chance

Shah further said, “The situation is not good for India at the moment.” The game was under India’s control until lunch. But after that, India missed the opportunity. Rohit Sharma could complete England’s innings within 200 runs. But now England have passed the 300 mark. England made a strong comeback. Tomorrow will be an important first day. If India don’t take wickets soon, England’s score may rise to over 350 or even 400.”

We can tell you that apart from the Rajkot Test, England have been tough competition for India in this series so far. England started the series with victory in the first Test. But after that, India made a brilliant comeback in the second Test and leveled the series 1-1. India then registered a one-sided win in Rajkot to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
