Rohit Sharma looked disappointed after loss, reacted to Shubman Gill’s batting

Gujarat Titans (GT) entered the final after defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 62 runs in the second qualifying match. In this important match, the Mumbai Indians team along with bowling looked much weaker than Gujarat in all departments. The Gujarat team scored 233 runs in 20 overs on the basis of Shubman Gill’s 129-run innings. In response, the Mumbai Indians side dropped to 171 runs in 18.2 overs.

After the second qualifying match loss, Mumbai Indians team captain Rohit Sharma said that Shubman batted very well at this ground and scored a further 20–25 runs in his innings. We were very positive after the end of the first innings. Green and Surya hit well but we lost. We couldn’t manage to score quick runs during the power play. We wanted a batter to take the game to the end, but we couldn’t do it. We must give credit for this win to Gujarat who played very well.

Rohit Sharma further said in his statement that Ishan Kishan’s sudden departure due to concussion was definitely a shock. But we must be prepared for such things and we must not think too much about it. Getting a playoff spot this season has been a big deal for us.

For the Mumbai Indians, this season also ended with this match. In his statement, Rohit Sharma described the team’s best batting as the biggest positive this season. That he would like to continue in the next season as well. At the same time, Rohit also said that the team gave Tim a different role this season.
