Juan Pablo Varillas is going through a great moment. The athlete from Lima has achieved in the classification update his best position since he competed as a professional, a prize for his good results lately.

Varillas has managed to rise 33 places in the ranking of the most prestigious competition in the world of tennis, placing himself as tennis player number 61 and thus achieving a result that personally demonstrates his growth. 10 years after his debut as a professional (which took place in 2013), at 27 he is finding optimal performance to compete at his best in every game he plays on any surface.

Throughout this 2023, Varillas has played a total of 20 games in the different tournaments he has participated, managing to win nine of his matches and falling 11 times.
