Rodrygo Reunites With Ancelotti at Brazil Camp, Newcastle Pair Delayed

Rodrygo is back with the Brazil national squad, and he’s beaming. It’s been more than six months since his last call-up, and he clearly missed being part of the team. But his biggest smile is for a familiar face: Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian coach, who guided Rodrygo at Real Madrid, is now in charge of Brazil.

Rodrygo wasn’t picked for Ancelotti’s very first squads, which might have been a bit tough. But now, seeing his former club coach again feels like coming home. “It’s a real joy to be with Ancelotti,” Rodrygo shared, full of appreciation. “He helped me so much. Under his guidance, my game improved a lot.” He spoke these words before Brazil’s upcoming friendly matches against South Korea and Japan.

Being away from the national team felt like forever. Rodrygo made it clear how much he missed wearing the yellow jersey. “It was a very long time away from the national team,” he stressed. “It truly seemed like an eternity.” His return marks a fresh start and a chance to build on the progress he made under Ancelotti’s watchful eye.

Bruno and Joelinton Hit a Snag

Meanwhile, a couple of other players faced an unexpected travel delay. Newcastle teammates Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton are still on their way to join the team in Seoul. They are now expected to arrive and link up with the squad sometime today. Their flight faced a problem and had to turn back to Amsterdam. The issue was with one of the plane’s windows, forcing an unexpected return to the airport.
