Rocket attack on Kabul house, US claims responsibility

KABUL: The United States has claimed responsibility for a rocket attack near the Afghan capital.

According to the US official, a rocket attack near Kabul airport has targeted a possible suicide bomber of the extremist organization ISIS.

The officials told the news agency on condition of anonymity that the military attack targeted suspected ISIS militants.

According to a former Afghan government security official, it was a rocket attack on a house in Kabul.

The Afghan Taliban confirmed the rocket attack, saying “a suicide bomber in a car was targeted in the US attack.” According to a Taliban spokesman, the suicide bomber wanted to attack Kabul Airport, which was targeted by the United States before it left.

It may be recalled that a rocket was fired at a house in Khawaja Baghra near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul some time ago, the sound of which was heard far away while clouds of black smoke were spread in the sky.

According to Arab media reports, two people, including a child, were killed and three others were injured in the rocket attack.

It may be recalled that a day earlier, US President Joe Biden had once again expressed concern over the attack on Kabul Airport. He said a new attack was expected in the next 24 to 36 hours.
