Robinson Canó has plans to go all season with the Stars

Robinson Canó tiene planes de ir toda la campaña con las Estrellas

Robinson Canó’s plans are to be with the Eastern Stars for the rest of the fall-winter baseball season for which he has prepared since he returned from the last Caribbean Series.

This was made known by the player after the 3-1 victory over the Tigres del Licey in Wednesday night’s game at the Tetelo Vargas stadium in which it was his debut. He was 1-for-4 with a strikeout received.

"I stayed all year practicing from Monday to Friday after arriving from the Caribbean Series as if it were next month for training"said when approached by journalist Osvaldo Rodríguez Suncar, press director of the Stars.

Cano, who was third bat and designated hitter, added that in the next few days he will be playing defense and that he is willing to play both second and third base.

"The plans are to go all season unless something changes in the team"added the player who is playing for the ninth time in a regular series with the representative of San Pedro de Macorís.

He said that although he still has a little better to feel 100 percent at the plate, he did not feel bad about his performance as he was able to land a hit, make good swings and not go away with bad pitches.

"We have to keep playing, giving our best. It is early to think about Round Robin. You have to go out and play and win games. Eight (wins) does not mean you are ranked. You have to go game by game", he counseled his young companions in the Stars.
