Racing has completed its second signing of the winter market, with Rober González joining the team on a loan from Nec Nimega of the Dutch League. The 24-year-old footballer from Extremadura can play in various positions, including as a winger, attacking midfielder, and striker.
Rober González developed his skills in the Betis youth academy and made his debut with the first team against Racing in the Copa del Rey round of 16 in November 2018. In addition to Betis, he has also played on loan for Las Palmas and Alavés. Throughout his career, the new Racing player has appeared in 6 games in the First Division and 76 games in the Second Division.
Last year, Rober González was loaned to Nec Nimega, where he participated in 37 official matches and scored 10 goals. The Dutch club then reached an agreement with Betis for his transfer in the summer of 2024. This season, he has played 19 games and scored 2 goals. Rober González will wear the number 16 jersey for Racing and has international experience, having played for Spain’s U-16, U-17, U-18, and U-20 teams, totaling 13 games with the national team.
With the additions of Meseguer and Rober González, Racing’s squad is likely complete, although it is always possible for surprise signings on the last day of the transfer market.
