The Correcaminos de la Parte Baja squad achieved this Sunday its first victory of the final series of the XXVI Puerto Plata Superior Basketball Tournament by beating the Sosúa Sharks 113-91 in a match that took place at the Fabio Rafael González Rooftop.

The Correcaminos, led by coach Radhamés Paulino from the capital, dominated the first and second quarters 29-23 and 30-28 respectively to dominate the middle of the match 59-51.

The top scorer for the winners was native Bernardo Polanco with 27 points and 7 rebounds, Kelvin Peña had a double-double with 20 shots, 13 rebounds and 4 rebounds, Pedro Núñez coming off the bench with 16 points and 5 rebounds, Cameron Lard 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and Junior Martínez 15, 7 rebounds and 10 assists.

In the lost cause, Gilwan Nelson had 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, Jeison Colomé 23, 4 rebounds and 6 assists and Diosel Ulloa 12 and 8 catches.

The second meeting will be on Wednesday the 11th at 8 pm at the Fabio Rafael González Rooftop.
