Ripple co-founder hasn’t sold XRP in 3 months

Crypto billionaire Jed McCaleb hasn’t sold Ripple (XRP) in nearly three months. This is one of his longest pauses since he first threatened to dump his entire stock in 2014.

McCaleb has been selling XRP tokens for 7 years

The crypto entrepreneur, who co-founded Ripple and is the founder of Stellar Lumens, has gradually sold his XRP assets since he left Ripple Labs.

McCaleb got 9 billion XRP tokens when he decided to leave. This is worth nearly $9.3 billion at current prices. This has ensured that he has been selling XRP tokens almost every week for 7 years now.

In June, Protos reported that McCaleb was dumping 12.7 million XRP every day on a quarterly average. If he had kept that up, he wouldn’t have had any XRP to sell by the end of September.

However, that now suddenly seems to have come to an end. Jed McCaleb transferred nearly 8.5 million XRP ($11 million) to Bitstamp on August 31. Nothing since then. (Source)

McCaleb’s latest XRP earnings

McCaleb received his last tokens from Ripple on September 1. This transaction amounted to a whopping 174.9 million XRP tokens, worth $180 million.

At the time of writing, McCaleb’s wallet still holds just over 709.9 million XRP tokens worth $731 million.

Ripple (XRP) has been struggling lately. The price is even underperforming the S&P500 stock market. This while other cryptos have seen their prices skyrocket. This has to do with the SEC’s pending lawsuit. Only when this has been settled (in a positive way) does the XRP price seem to be able to shoot up again.
