Lotus chooses Ripple

Blockchain company Ripple has announced that it will partner with sports car maker Lotus to place automotive NFTs on the XRP Ledger.

“We are excited to partner with @lotuscars to bring automotive NFTs to the XRPL”. Ripple said in a statement.

The partnership was first announced by Lotus last week. The automaker then wrote that they would partner with Ripple and NFT Pro. NFT Pro is a company that falls under the Ripple Creators Fund. According to Lotus, Ripple will provide technical support through its low-cost, fast and carbon neutral XRP Ledger.

What are Lotus NFTs?

The NFTs will be a product of the Lotus Advanced Performance unit, a division of the auto company, which was founded earlier this year. Each NFT issued by the carmaker will be designed by Lotus and will pay tribute to the car brand’s legendary achievements. According to Lotus, the NFTs will offer real Lotus fans wonderful benefits.

“Lotus has always been at the forefront of pioneering innovation, and entering the Web3 space in this way, with a truly customer-centric NFT program, is another excellent example of that. By partnering with NFT PRO, a true expert in this field, we are guaranteed to deliver unforgettable content for a new digital community of Lotus fans.” said Simon Lane, director of Lotus Advanced Performance in the announcement.

Christian Ferri, CEO of NFT PRO said the following about the partnership with Lotus:

“It is a privilege to work with such an iconic British car brand and to help the Lotus Advanced Performance team connect with a new generation of fans. This announcement is just the beginning of this partnership.”
