Riot Releases “Sacrifice” as LoL Worlds 2025 Theme Song by G.E.M

Riot Games has a knack for building hype around its biggest events. They’ve once again fired up the global League of Legends community. The company just dropped the official theme song for the upcoming Worlds 2025 championship. It’s titled “Sacrifice” and features popular Chinese singer G.E.M.

This yearly music release gets fans and players excited for the LoL World Championship. This is the biggest competition in esports. The video that goes with the song is full of animated scenes. It includes many of the game’s legendary players, setting the stage for what’s to come next year.

The release of the new track hit a small snag. It arrived a day later than planned. The delay happened because of sexist comments made by player Gabriel “Bwipo” Rau. Riot Games had to adjust its schedule. Despite this, the song is now out, ready to pump up the audience.

The “Sacrifice” music video runs for just over four minutes, at 4:11. It brings together several iconic figures from the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) world. Fans will spot stars like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk. Rasmus “Caps” Winther and Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok also make an appearance. Luka “Perkz” Perković, Jian “Uzi” Zihao, and Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak are in the video too. These names are huge in the League of Legends universe.

Who is G.E.M.?

G.E.M., the voice behind “Sacrifice,” is a globally recognized Chinese singer. She first broke into the music scene with her EP, also called G.E.M., in 2008. Her debut album, “18…,” followed in 2009. Her stage name, G.E.M., stands for “Get Everybody Moving.” This mission certainly fits with the energy she brings to the new Worlds anthem.
