Riot Games LoL Act 2 Season 3: ARAM Anarchy, Smurf Bans, Arcane Skins Return

Riot Games recently gave fans a peek into what’s next for League of Legends. Developers shared details on the second act of Season 3. These updates cover new game modes, ways to fight unfair play, and special treats for fans of the game’s animated series, Arcane. We can expect these changes to arrive with an upcoming update set for late November or early December. The team will also share hints about what 2026 holds for the game early next year.

New Ways to Play ARAM

Good news for ARAM players: a fresh mode called ARAM: Anarchy is coming in Act 2. This mode blends the fun changes from Arena’s Augments with the classic 5v5 ARAM action. It will have its own special queue, so players can easily choose between regular ARAM or the new Anarchy version. Players loved the maps Slaughter Bridge and Koeshin Crossing, so Riot is making them permanent parts of ARAM. The team is also working to make these maps run even smoother.

Cracking Down on Cheaters and Bots

Riot Games is serious about fair play. In the coming months, they will increase punishments for bots and smurf accounts. The focus is on finding the real problems to make sure innocent players are not banned by mistake. Any account bought or sold after Patch 25.18 will be found and banned. Starting with Patch 25.23, punishments will hit accounts that Riot knows share the same owner. The team will connect all accounts to one owner using data from Vanguard, account details, and player behavior.

Streamer Mode Gets an Upgrade

Streamers and content creators will be happy to hear about improvements to Streamer Mode. Riot listened to feedback from pros and creators. They are also working with other app makers to keep players’ private data hidden. With Patch 25.20, players will get three choices in Streamer Mode:

  • Hide Other Names: This works like the current Streamer Mode, hiding names of other players.
  • Hide My Name: This option hides your Riot ID and player name. It does not hide account progress stats, like champion mastery or ranked borders.
  • Hide My Everything: This choice hides all identifying info about a player’s account. It works from the moment you enter a lobby until the game ends.

Celebrating Arcane

November marks one year since the Arcane finale. To celebrate, Patch 25.23 will bring back all Arcane skins from both seasons. These will be available in bundles. There will also be a small free reward pass with new icons and emotes. The Arcane Shattered Jinx skin is getting an upgrade. It will have a new spawn animation, better visuals for its three forms, and new recall animations and nibbles for Shimmer Jinx and Powder. These changes will better match the champion’s personality. Players who already own this skin will get the update and new features for free.

Other Notable Changes

  • Starting with Patch 25.21, all champions will be playable for players using Practice Tool on their own.
  • The Essence Emporium will make its return in Patch 25.23.
  • The “Your Shop” feature also comes back in Patch 25.23.
  • The League of Legends World Championship is set to begin on October 14. This year, the big event will take place in Beijing, China.
