Rihanna recently offered a glimpse into her third pregnancy, sharing intimate, previously unseen photos from her journey to welcoming daughter Rocki Irish Mayers. The images were part of an Instagram post celebrating Barbados’ independence.
The 37-year-old singer posted the photo series on Sunday, November 30. Her post commemorated Barbados’ 59th year of independence and its fourth year as a Republic.
One photo shows Rihanna walking barefoot by an outdoor pool. Her sons, RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, are seen alongside her, while she wears a red bikini top.
Another image features Rihanna showcasing her baby bump in a green two-piece bikini. The background reveals an idyllic Barbados scene with palm trees, blue sky, and the ocean.
A third bikini photo captures a family moment with partner A$AP Rocky and one of their children. Rihanna, in a pink bikini top, looks tenderly at her son, who sits on Rocky’s lap.
Rocky is pictured reclining on the grass, holding his son, with the sun shining behind the family.
Rihanna used the Instagram post to express her deep national pride. "Congratulations to Barbados, MY HOME, on our 59th year of independence and our 4th year as a Republic!" she wrote.
She added, "Today also marks the inauguration of our second president, His Excellency Lt. Col. The Right Honourable Jeffrey Bostic, who, alongside our Honourable Prime Minister Mia Mottley, will continue to lead Barbados with excellence. Barbados, I LOVE YOU!!!!"
The arrival of baby Rocki was announced by Rihanna in September through a sweet Instagram post. She shared a photo holding her newborn.
Her caption read, "Rocki Irish Mayers September 13, 2025 🎀".
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, both 37, first revealed they were expecting their third child in May. This announcement coincided with the Met Gala 2025, which Rocky co-chaired.
Rihanna spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the event’s red carpet. "I’m good. Surprisingly, I feel good and I’m not too overwhelmed right now," she stated.
She elaborated, "At first it was like, ‘Ah!’ I’m tired, but then I get excited."
A$AP Rocky also shared his enthusiasm with the Associated Press at the Met Gala. "It feels amazing. It’s time to show people what we were cooking up," he said.
"And I’m glad everyone is happy for us, because we are too," Rocky concluded.
In a September profile, prior to Rocki’s birth, Rocky told Elle magazine he was hoping for a daughter.
"I hope it’s a girl. Really. We’re praying for a girl," he shared during the interview.
He noted how different this pregnancy felt. "This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell by the experience. I hope it’s a girl, really. I need it," Rocky stated.
After Rocki’s birth, Rocky continued to speak lovingly about his daughter. In October, he told Complex that she was "my favorite creation this year."
"Shout out to Rocki Irish, for real," he added.
Rihanna has also publicly praised Rocky’s parenting skills. In February, she told Harper’s Bazaar that watching him as a father is "the best."
"His purity. His charm," she described. "Sometimes it annoys me because my kids seem to live for him more than me."
Rihanna humorously continued, "And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who brought you into this world?’ And they adore him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best."
