According to Australian media, this house was bought above its fixed price. The house is listed for $20.6 million, but Ponting bought it for $20.75 million.

Ponting already has many houses

According to The Age, the house Ponting bought is located on 1400 square meters and the house is an open plan indoor-outdoor living room and modern kitchen. This isn’t Ponting’s first luxury home. Apart from this, it also has many other houses. In 2013 he bought a house near Brighton beach, which was worth $9.2 million at the time. The name of his house in Brighton is “Golden Mile”. The house includes seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a private theater, and a private path to the beach. He also owns Portsea House, valued at $3.5 million. Which he bought in 2019.

Ricky Ponting has won three World Cups for Australia. Two of which he won as captain. Ponting is one of the most successful captains in international cricket. He took over the Australia captaincy in the year 2000. Under his captaincy, Australia ruled in formats like ODI and Test. He is rated as one of the greatest hitters of all time. Ponting scored 13,378 runs in 168 Tests at an average of 51.85 with 41 centuries. In 374 ODIs, Ponting scored 13,589 runs at an average of 41.81 with 29 centuries.

Since retiring in November 2012, Ponting has worked with various teams as a coach, as well as being noted for his commentary.
