Ricardo Melo Gouveia Has Forgettable Start at Genesis Championship in South Korea

Asian golfers established an early lead at the Genesis Championship in South Korea, where the opening round concluded prematurely due to a lack of light.

Chinese golfer Haotong Li and South Korea’s Kim Min-kyu are provisionally tied for first place. Both players carded 65 strokes, finishing six under par.

Spain’s Alejandro del Rey sits one stroke behind, holding third position with a score of 66.

The first round was suspended with only three golfers remaining on the course, awaiting completion of their initial 18 holes.

Portuguese golfer Ricardo Melo Gouveia finished the day in a provisional tie for 91st. He completed his round with 74 strokes, three over par.

Melo Gouveia’s round included three bogeys, a double bogey, and two birdies. The tournament, part of the DP World Tour, is being held in Cheonan.
