Rhea Chakraborty stepped out with her family on Monday, visiting the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. It was her first public appearance since the court recently granted her relief in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Rhea wore a simple cotton kurta suit and had a no-makeup look, but her smile said it all.
She’s been tangled in this case for the past five years. Sushant, a Bollywood actor, was found dead in his Bandra home on June 14, 2020. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has now closed the case, stating it was a suicide with no foul play. Rhea was accused of abetting Sushant’s death, but she’s finally getting support from the industry.
Rhea’s brother shows his happiness
Her brother, Showik, shared a video on Instagram showing him and Rhea walking together in the mountains. The caption read, “Truth always wins.” Both siblings were arrested in 2020 in connection with a drug case that came up after Sushant’s death.
Rhea’s lawyer speaks out
Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said, “The CBI has filed a closure report in the Sushant Singh Rajput case after almost four years. We are grateful to the CBI for thoroughly investigating every aspect of the case and closing it. The false stories spread on social media and electronic media were completely uncalled for. During the pandemic, everyone was glued to their TV sets. Innocent people were harassed by the media and investigating officials, and paraded in front of them. I hope this won’t be repeated in any other case.”
