In the past, we’ve seen some Roborock vacuum cleaners that make household cleaning easier, but this fast-growing Chinese company also sells handheld vacuum cleaners.
The Roborock H7 is the brand’s new handheld vacuum, which promises high power, long autonomy, an integrated screen and the optional use of dust collection bags.
I had the opportunity to test the Roborock H7 robot vacuum ( €288.37 with coupon D11ES50) for several weeks, so I bring you my impressions.

Project
The Roborock H7 comes in a box with every accessory you can imagine, arranged on two floors, along with an instruction manual in multiple languages, including Spanish.
The main body of the vacuum is very compact and has a useful OLED display which shows the selected suction mode (Eco, Standard and Max) and the remaining battery level in the form of minutes – the latter is especially useful for knowing when to recharge.
The screen shows a message when the battery runs out for you to charge, but it appears in English. I wish you could choose a language.
The body also has a trigger that you can press to suck and release to stop, as well as a continuous suction button that saves you from having to hold the trigger all the time. This button also allows you to activate the child lock if you hold it down for a few seconds.
The battery (non-replaceable) is integrated into the main body, making its 1.45 kg weight concentrated by hand for cleaning and somewhat tiring. Other vacuums that have a battery built into the entire vacuum offer a more balanced weight.
Dirt is stored in a 500 ml compartment, large enough to accumulate a large amount of dirt. There is a very simple opening button that allows you to pour the dirt into the waste bin, but you can also remove the compartment completely if you want to clean it with water.
The vacuum cleaner’s design allows no particles to escape through cracks or crevices into the surrounding air. However, if you want to improve the air quality even further, Roborock offers the possibility of removing the cyclone separator and inserting in its place a connector that allows the use of disposable dust bags ​​with a capacity of 560 ml.
The bags have an antibacterial coating and, once removed, are automatically sealed, keeping the dirt inside to prevent the formation of dust clouds, ideal for allergy sufferers.
Roborock H7 includes two disposable dust bags, but replacement bags can be purchased.
There’s also a HEPA air filter on top that you can remove and wash, which you’ll need to do periodically to keep it looking good. This filter removes contaminants and allergens such as mites and pollen, capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns.
A number of accessories arrive in the box, including a multi-surface brush, extension tube, mini motorized brush (great for stairs and sofas), flexible tube, powder brush and corner tool.
It also includes a docking station that allows you to charge the vacuum cleaner. This base is magnetic and all accessories have a fastening area that allows them to be fixed to the base. You can also place accessories on other metal surfaces, such as the refrigerator.
Operation
Roborock H7 offers three modes of operation: echo, pattern and Max:
- Mode echo It offers the most autonomy, but it is also the least powerful of the three cleaning modes.
- Mode Pattern It’s more powerful at the expense of less autonomy, but it’s what I use the most on a daily basis
- Mode Max. It’s the most powerful option, but it’s by far the noisiest. It’s useful if you need to clean something that’s really dirty on time.
Cleaning accessories can be connected directly to the vacuum cleaner body or through the extension tube and flexible tube.
The long extension tube makes it easier to clean under the table than with other vacuums, while the flexible tube is useful for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

O multi-surface brush allows for deep cleaning on both carpets and hard floors, making it the accessory you’ll use most often.
When the vacuum detects you’re on a mat and is in Eco or Standard modes, the Auto Boost System increases suction power and spins its anti-static carbon fiber bristles at nearly 4,000 rpm for better cleaning.

In my tests, the Roborock H7 was able to clean dirt from the floor of my house without any problems, with tile and wood floors, as well as a small carpet that I have in the entrance of the house that gets dirty very easily.
O motorized mini brush It is useful for removing dust from the most delicate furniture, such as a sofa or bed, thanks to its fast rotating brush.

Another interesting accessory is the dust brush with long bristles for cleaning and vacuuming flat surfaces such as a table.

I found the corner and slot tool which, being narrow and long, makes it possible to clean hard-to-reach areas and difficult corners and crevices.
In my office, I have a space between my desk and a fixed glass that, over time, accumulated a lot of dirt, but which I couldn’t access with my previous vacuum cleaner. With this tool, I managed to clean this area.

After a few cleaning cycles, dirt accumulates inside the front and rear filters, inside the cyclone itself and in the dust compartment. All these parts are removable and can be washed under running water. Allow them to dry completely for 24 hours before reassembling them.
According to Roborock, the lifetime of the built-in 80 Wh LiPO battery is up to 90 minutes in Eco mode no accessories attached and no running on a mat. An interesting aspect is that the suction power does not decrease even when the battery is almost exhausted.
In practice, you can expect an interval of 60-90 minutes in Eco mode, 25-40 minutes in Standard mode, and 8 minutes in Maximum mode, depending on whether you use passive or motorized accessories. These are generally correct runtime values ​​for a cordless vacuum as long as you are not using the Maximum mode.
Charging the battery takes approximately 2.5 hours, and if you use the docking station, it can charge automatically when you plug in the vacuum. According to the company, the battery capacity remains at 80% after 400 charge cycles.

It’s a comfortable vacuum to use, with an OLED screen that lets you see the remaining time of use and the active suction mode at any time. Thanks to its slim extension tube, it can reach corners where other vacuums cannot.
The main body, with the dirt tank and battery, is placed back, very close to the hand, so that its weight pulls down and is somewhat uncomfortable in long cleaning sessions. The collected dirt can be easily emptied and, if you prefer, it comes with an accessory for the use of disposable bags.
