Vélez Sarsfield, brand new champion of the Reserve League Professional Soccer tournament, celebrated this Sunday the title obtained with a victory against Sarmiento de Junín by 3 to 1as a local, in its José Amalfitani stadium, a meeting that closed the twenty-fifth date of the contest.
Midfielder Joaquín Gho (11m. PT) opened the scoring for the Junín team, but then midfielder Jonathan Berón (40m. ST -penalty-) and forwards Naher Carrizo (33m. ST) and Alejo Sarco (42m. ST), turned the result around for the Liniers team.
The conquest, the fifth consecutive of the champion in the contest –The previous date was imposed by 1 to 0 to Godoy Cruz; 2 to 0 to Colon (23rd.); 1 to 0 with Arsenal (22nd.) and Tigre 2 to 0 (21st.)– consolidated Vélez in the lead with 62 points, 11 behind his immediate rival Belgrano de Córdoba (51). Sarmiento, on the other hand, is twenty-sixth with 23 units.
In the Amalfitani lived a real party between the players and supporters of “Fortín”, with an Olympic lap with the trophy obtained for the team.
