ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he has not decided on a request from the Taliban to provide technical support at Kabul airport.
According to details, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said in his statement that he has not made a final decision to provide technical support at Kabul Airport. The Taliban has requested to provide technical support at Kabul Airport and said that we will provide security.
“We have not decided on the Taliban’s request,” he said, pointing to the possibility of further attacks on Kabul airport.
It may be recalled that the Taliban had requested Turkey to provide technical assistance at Kabul airport and said that the Turkish army would also have to withdraw on the August 31 deadline, to which Turkish officials expressed readiness and said they were ready to withdraw. However, a final decision on the Taliban’s request will be made after the August 31 deadline.
The death toll from bombings at an airport in the Afghan capital has risen to more than 100, including 12 US soldiers.
