Reliever Dusten Knight returns with the Leones del Escogido

The Leones del Escogido announced the return of the well-known right-handed reliever Dusten Knight, with the intention of reinforcing the relief of the last innings for the scarlet team.

In the final part of the 2021-2022 regular season, Knight pitched 5.0 innings and went 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and 8 strikeouts.

The right-hander also participated in the Round Robin of the last championship as a reinforcement of the Eastern Stars, achieving a 2.08 earned run percentage in 4.1 innings.

Knight’s presentations were very striking, since in addition to his good performance he delighted the fans by performing the jump called “backflip” after completing his work.

This year he pitched for the AAA branch of the Tampa Bay Rays with the Durham Bulls team, where he had a 4-2 record, 3.42 ERA, 12 saves and 66 strikeouts in 55.1 innings.

In the summer of 2022 he also played briefly in the major leagues with the Rays, striking out 9 opponents in 11.0 innings.

Operations management reported that the Oklahoma native will arrive in the country over the weekend.
