Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Manpower has launched an investigation against companies that have identified various Saudi nationals as their employees and entered their information in government portals.
According to the Saudi website, the Ministry of Manpower has launched an investigation into the inclusion of several Saudi nationals in the social security insurance scheme without their knowledge.
The affected citizens said that their names and other details have been entered in the portal social security insurance scheme of the ministry by showing their employees by some companies of which they are not aware.
Upon receiving the complaints, the ministry has started an investigation with the management of the companies concerned.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Manpower spokesman Saad Al Hammad said that the Ministry of Manpower and Social Insurance Scheme had received a number of complaints from the victims stating that despite not being a regular employee in any company. How is his name registered in the social security scheme?
The spokesperson said that after receiving the complaints, investigations have been started against the concerned private entities and the names of the persons who had lodged the complaints were being removed from the social security insurance.
Disciplinary action will also be taken against those responsible for the companies involved in the act, who had recruited unrelated Saudi workers in the ministry and the Social Security Insurance Scheme by disclosing their identity to the scheme.
It should be noted that according to Saudiization law, private businesses are required to provide jobs to Saudis instead of foreign workers in their companies, for which they have to register Saudi employees on the portal of the Ministry.
